The Kenya Airport Police Unit has started using smartphones to deter crime, but there are still reservations about their potential impact on policing. study sought identify the factors that influence police officers' adoption and use of smart phone applications for crime prevention. officers assigned (1382) were study's target group. For this study, a sample 274 was selected simple random sampling approach. guided by Mobile Technology Acceptance Model (M-TAM), which discovered useful instruments programs such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, emails, short text messages helped prevent crime. suggests tailored be developed, well officer capacity training, improve utilization help prevention efforts.
